A little about me

I’ve always liked
taking things apart.

I’m Sidharth Raveendran, or Sid for short. I write software, I’ve started a few companies, and I still like finding out how things work.

In 2004, I was playing Need for Speed: Underground 2 on a CRT and wondering how someone had built it. I started learning to code through forums, IRC, and reading source code. Taking things apart was how I learned.

My first job was at Nextwave Multimedia in Chennai in 2014, straight out of school. I was the server team for World Cricket Championship, responsible for building the backend and keeping it running.

After that came marketplaces, logistics software, and enterprise projects. I co-founded N24Labs, Zethic, and Origin Fresh. Running a company added hiring and customer conversations to the work I already knew. There was a lot to learn.

These days I mostly write Go, Python, and Node.js. I’ve also learned to spend more time with the people using the software. At Origin Fresh, understanding how the warehouse worked was part of understanding what to build.

These days

I left Origin Fresh in December 2025. I don’t have the next company figured out yet. I’m interested in supply chains, backend infrastructure, and practical uses for AI, and I’m happy to talk with people working on them.
